Water Tank Removal & Disposal

Old rainwater tanks are bulky, awkward to move, and often too large for any standard disposal option. Whether it is an old poly tank that has cracked and split, a fibreglass tank past its serviceable life, or a steel tank being replaced as part of a property upgrade — we collect them from residential, rural, and commercial properties across the Coffs Coast. Drain it first. We handle everything else.

Before we arrive

The tank must be fully drained before we collect. A full or partially full tank is significantly heavier and may not be safely loaded. Your plumber or handyman can disconnect the inlet and drain the remaining water.

Tank Types We Remove

We handle most common residential and rural water tank types. If you have a large or unusual tank, send photos and we will assess what is involved before confirming.

  • Poly (polyethylene) rainwater tanks — any size
  • Fibreglass tanks — residential and rural
  • Corrugated steel tanks — collapsed or still standing
  • Old concrete or masonry tanks — quote required for large structures
  • Slimline tanks from limited-access areas
  • Above-ground tanks from residential and rural properties
  • Bladder tanks and flexible water storage units

How It Works

1

Send Photos & Dimensions

Photos of the tank plus its approximate size (litres or dimensions) let us quote accurately. Access details — fencing, gates, slopes — are important.

2

Drain the Tank First

The tank must be empty before we arrive. If it is too large to drain completely by gravity, a pump may be needed. Your plumber or handyman can assist.

3

We Arrive & Load It

Depending on size, we may cut the tank down for easier loading. Our 600kg tailgate lifter handles most standard residential tanks. Larger tanks may require additional equipment — we will advise upfront.

4

Recycled or Disposed Correctly

Steel tanks go to scrap metal. Poly and fibreglass go to licensed disposal. We separate where possible.

Pricing

Water tank removal is priced based on tank size, type, access, and the labour involved. A small slimline tank is straightforward. A large rural tank in a difficult location is a different job. Send photos and tell us the size — we will give you an accurate quote.

Small tank — slimline or under 1,000LFrom $165
Medium tank — 1,000L–5,000LFrom $330
Large tank — 5,000L–22,500LQuote on request

All prices include GST, labour, loading, truck, and disposal. Tank size, material type, access, and travel distance all affect final pricing. Send photos for the most accurate quote.
