Insulation Removal & Disposal
Insulation waste from building sites, renovations, and demolitions is bulky, itchy to handle, and difficult to dispose of properly. Old glasswool batts, bulk rolls, foam offcuts, and loose-fill insulation cannot go in a standard skip, and general tip facilities may refuse or surcharge it. We collect insulation waste from building and renovation sites across the Coffs Coast, bag it where needed, load it safely, and take it to the correct licensed disposal facility.
Note on asbestos insulation
Older properties may contain loose-fill asbestos insulation (particularly Mr Fluffy-type product used in the 1960s–70s) or asbestos-containing materials in other forms. If there is any doubt, stop and get the material tested by a licensed assessor before anyone touches it. Asbestos removal requires a licensed contractor — not us. We will always be upfront about what is and is not within our scope.

What we do not handle
We do not remove or handle asbestos insulation, urea-formaldehyde foam insulation, or any insulation product containing hazardous materials. If there is any doubt about the material type — especially in properties built before 1990 — have it tested before anyone touches it. We will advise honestly and refer you to the right contractor if needed.

Insulation disposal is priced by how much of the truck the material fills. Insulation is very bulky for its weight — a relatively small amount of batts can take up a quarter of a truck. Pricing reflects volume, not just weight. Send photos for the most accurate quote.

Does insulation need to be bagged before you collect?
For loose or crumbling insulation, yes — bagging it first makes loading safer and faster. For batts and rolls that are intact, bagging is not always necessary. Tell us the condition when you enquire and we will advise.
Can you collect from a ceiling or roof space?
We collect from accessible areas at ground level or where materials can be safely handed down. Removing insulation from confined ceiling spaces is a separate scope — typically done by a specialist insulation removal contractor. Once it is down and accessible, we take it away.
How do I know if old insulation contains asbestos?
Loose-fill asbestos insulation (used in the 1960s–70s) can look similar to fibreglass or cellulose insulation. If the property was built before 1980 and the insulation is loose-fill, treat it as suspect until tested by a licensed assessor. Do not disturb it.
Can you collect insulation as part of a bigger site clearance?
Yes — if you have insulation mixed in with other renovation or demolition waste, we can do a full site clearance in one visit. We separate and dispose of each material type correctly.
