Local Pickup and Delivery in Coffs Harbour and the Mid North Coast

Moving a lounge from one house to another, collecting a fridge from a major retailer, or bringing a Marketplace purchase home does not always need a full removalist crew. That is where our Pick Up Pros service fits. We provide local pickups and deliveries across Coffs Harbour and the wider Mid North Coast, from Port Macquarie to Yamba.
We are The Junk Removers & Pick Up Pros, a family-owned business run by John and Leanne Cook. We have been serving the Mid North Coast since 2003, and our base is in Coffs Harbour. Because we are local, we know the roads, the access challenges and the best way to schedule a job so travel time is used efficiently.
What we regularly move
- Furniture of all sizes, including sofas, beds, wardrobes, dining settings and outdoor furniture
- Whitegoods and appliances, including fridges, freezers, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers and ovens
- Flat-pack and assembled items from IKEA and other major retailers
- Facebook Marketplace, Gumtree and auction-house purchases
- Small house, unit, granny-flat and student moves
- Single heavy items that will not fit in a car or trailer
We do not move asbestos or bodily-fluid waste. If you are unsure about an item, send a photo and we will tell you before the job is booked.
How a pickup or delivery works
- Text clear photos of the items to 0415 540 055. Include the pickup suburb and the delivery suburb.
- Tell us about access at both ends, such as stairs, lifts, long carries, steep driveways, parking restrictions or narrow hallways.
- We reply with a confirmed quote that covers labour, truck space and travel.
- Once you accept the quote, we confirm a time that works for both addresses.
- On the day, our crew arrives with the enclosed Isuzu Pantech "Merlin", which has a 600 kg tail-lift, blankets, straps, dollies and roller boards. We load carefully and leave both properties tidy.
The enclosed truck keeps items secure and out of public view. The tail-lift means heavy pieces are lifted rather than carried down driveways or steps, which protects both the items and your property.
Pricing for pickups and deliveries
Each quote is built from the space the items take in the truck, the labour required and the distance between the two addresses. Our published starting points are:
- Minimum pickup from $110
- Quarter load $498.99
- Half load $998.99
- Three-quarter load $1,498.99
- Full load $1,998.99
Pianos and spas are quoted individually from $399.99 because of weight and access. Mattress moves start at $110 in the Coffs Harbour area. Travel time is built into each quote, so there is no separate travel charge for jobs within our regular Port Macquarie to Yamba area.
Residential customers can pay by card or Afterpay via Square. Approved commercial accounts can be invoiced. Pensioner and domestic-violence support discounts are available; just ask when you request the quote.
Why use an insured, enclosed truck
Moving furniture and appliances safely needs more than a vehicle. We carry $20M public liability cover, goods-in-transit insurance and workers' compensation insurance on every job. The enclosed Pantech keeps items protected in transit, and the tail-lift reduces the risk of damage to doorways, floors and the items themselves. John and Leanne oversee the bookings, so you deal with the same people from the first text to the final delivery.
Preparing for the day
Clear a path from the items to the front of the property where it is safe to do so. Remove loose contents from drawers and cupboards, and label anything that must stay. If the delivery address has tight access, let us know in advance so we can plan the right crew size and equipment. Most local jobs are completed in a single visit.
Longer trips and scheduled runs
Our monthly East Coast runs between the Mid North Coast, Sydney, the Gold Coast and Brisbane operate by arrangement, when truck space is available. They suit larger furniture pieces, multiple whitegoods or business stock that is too big for a courier. Availability depends on the schedule, so send photos early and we will tell you whether a trip can fit.
Text photos of your items and both addresses to 0415 540 055. We will reply with a clear quote and the next available time.
Common pickup and delivery jobs
Many of our local jobs start with a simple question: how do I get this home safely? A sofa bought from a Marketplace listing across town, a fridge from a major retailer that will not fit in the back of a hatchback, or a set of office chairs from an auction can all be handled as a pickup and delivery. We plan these jobs around the two addresses and the items, so the crew arrives with the right equipment and the right number of people.
What to include when you text photos
The more detail you send, the more accurate the quote:
- A photo of each item, from a few angles, with something for scale such as a door
- The pickup suburb and the exact street or landmark if you have it
- The delivery suburb and the access details at that end
- Stairs, lifts, parking restrictions, steep driveways and narrow doorways
- The dimensions of any item that is large or unusual
Access at both ends
Access often decides how long a job takes. A ground-floor pickup with a wide driveway is quick. The same item down a flight of stairs, or through a narrow doorway into a unit, takes more time. Telling us about access at both ends means the quote and the crew size reflect the real job, which helps avoid surprises on the day.
Why we confirm the price before the job
Two items can look similar in a photo and still differ in weight, size or handling. We confirm the price from the photos and access details, and you will know the cost before you accept. If something changes when we arrive, such as an item that is larger than the photos showed, we will tell you before we do any extra work.
Furniture and appliances after purchase
Retail and marketplace purchases often arrive in a form that is difficult to move without the right truck. Flat-pack boxes, large appliances and oversized furniture all benefit from the enclosed Pantech and the tail-lift. Our crew brings blankets and straps to protect items in transit, and dollies and roller boards to move them safely through hallways and doorways.
Scheduled runs
Our monthly East Coast runs are arranged in advance, and they are not a standard weekly service. If you are moving a larger load along the coast, or need a delivery to Sydney, the Gold Coast or Brisbane, send the details early. We will tell you honestly whether space is available on the next run.
