About The Junk Removers & Pick Up Pros: Over 20 Years on the Mid North Coast
The Junk Removers & Pick Up Pros began in 2003 as a one-man scrap metal operation. Over the years it has grown into a family business offering rubbish and junk removal, property clear-outs, small moves and pickup and delivery across the Mid North Coast. The core of the business has stayed the same: a local crew, honest quotes and a careful, practical approach to every job.
The beginning
John Cook started collecting scrap metal in 2003. Working on his own, he learned how to handle heavy material, plan a load and deal directly with customers. Recycling was part of the work from the start, and it still is.
Growing into a family business
As the work grew, rubbish and junk removal became a larger part of the business, and Leanne joined as co-owner and operator. Together they run the business from Coffs Harbour, quoting jobs, managing bookings and overseeing the work on the day. The same people who answer the phone are the people responsible for the job.

- Furniture, appliance, mattress and piano removal
- E-waste and scrap metal collection, sorted for recycling where practical
- Small moves and pickup and delivery through our Pick Up Pros service
We do not take asbestos or any waste involving bodily fluids.
How we work
Our enclosed Isuzu Pantech has a 600 kg tail-lift. Items are secured for transport, and our crew brings dollies, straps and blankets. Every quote is confirmed from photos and access details before the job starts. Travel time is built into the quote.
Our approach
We aim to leave every property tidy and every customer clear about what happens next. Where possible, we sort items for recycling or donation before anything goes to landfill. We carry $20M public liability cover, together with goods-in-transit and workers' compensation insurance.
Looking ahead
We continue to serve the corridor from Port Macquarie to Yamba, with East Coast runs to Sydney, the Gold Coast and Brisbane arranged by confirmed schedule when space is available.
